In association with the FSB (Federation of Small Business) I was recently honoured to be selected as a finalist for Small Employed/Sole Trader of the Year! I attended the awards ceremony on Friday 4th March at Newmarket Racecourse which was amazing! Although I wasn’t the overall winner - I’m very much thrilled that DJV BOUTIQUE made it to the finals, representing the East of England region, especially when I as a sole trader was up against some other amazing small businesses in the area. A memorable occasion and another accolade to be grateful for.
The turbulence and set backs we've all encountered over the past few years have been fierce but I personally believe that we'll overcome, prevail and look forward to brighter days - just as long as we continue to work together and support one another.

This is such a huge honour and I'm very much looking forward to the forthcoming Awards Ceremony in March when the overall winner will be announced, so watch this space for the results!

It’s obviously been a torrid time for so many small businesses. However, here at DJV Boutique we’ve successfully weathered the storm and become well adapted, facing these challenges head on to sustain trade and rebuild our business.
Introducing fresh ideas and a series of personalised services has also helped us to bounce back. We always had a robust online strategy and since further enhanced this by introducing e-gift cards and virtual fashion shows. Additionally in 2021, I was named a #f:entrepreneur100 in association with Small Business Britain. Gaining such recognition alongside other prestigious accolades and media coverage, has certainly helped me personally to maintain a positive outlook.
We’ve recently introduced some menswear and accessories to expand our in-store offer and always on the lookout for additional lines to keep our customers well engaged. We've also introduced a loyalty scheme to reward our loyal followers who continue to support us. We're also attracting several new customers which is a plus! Such support is helping us get back on to the road to recovery. Next year we celebrate a decade of trade and look forward to trading for many more years to come as individuals continue to embrace the ‘shop small’ pledge.
