DJV Boutique Facing the challenges - Covid-19
Hello everyone firstly I hope this message finds you, your families and friends in good health.  My apologies for what may have seemed like limited contact from DJV of late. However, I’m sure you’ll agree that it’s not been easy adjusting to the required lock down measures. We have of course adapted ensuring health and safety remains our top priority! Like many retailers we’ve closed our premises temporarily and been keeping things afloat from home as best we can. It’s times like this that we all need to pull together and my personal plea is to ask that you consider supporting local businesses like ours in the short and longer term wherever possible. We also endeavour to pursue our existing mission which is by using individuals, suppliers, shops and businesses in our town and region as much as possible. At this crucial stage it’s important that we as Independents find ways of sustaining trade, hence why we’ve introduced e-gift vouchers to our online shop by means of stimulating trade. You set the budget and the voucher can be sent via email to the recipient or used personally. The vouchers can be spent online anytime or used in store once our shop premises open again. Some customers have used this option as a means of offering some support at this difficult time. Find out more here: https://djvboutique.co.uk/collections/gift-vouchers Such help is vital to our existence and all support is greatly appreciated. At DJV our aim is to provide something unique in fashion for Ipswich and feel proud to be part of a wider community, doing our bit for the local and UK economy. We're fortunate enough to be entering our eighth year of trade next month and looking ahead to what we hope to be a brighter future for us all. It’s important that we remain positive and lift spirits wherever we can. With this in mind we've launched a special competition for a chance to win a shopping voucher to spend with us. You can enter using the link below....please feel free to share amongst family and friends. Enter our competition here:  https://djvboutique.co.uk/pages/competition Take Care! With best wishes Mandy & Team x

DJV Boutique, 2019 Reflection
To most, running your own business or enterprise is an exciting prospect! Although speaking from experience we know only too well that you have to work hard and make sacrifices... to get results and reach your goals. At the end of a year its a good time to reflect on the highs and the lows. Despite a turbulent retail economy, DJV continues to diversify to stimulate trade and attract a wider audience. This year we have fulfilled many accomplishments which include, launching our Styling packages, creating unique 'signature' events, launching a stylish online shop and an exciting promo video.  Since our move last year we've marked 7 years of trade, appointed our assistant of 3 years to Manager and enjoyed meeting lots of new customers. Location is key and we've seen an obvious improvement in footfall and the accessible parking close by is also a big advantage! Thanks to all of you who shop small to keep independents on the map. We're planning an exciting 2020 and look forward to sharing this with our supporters.

We love you for shopping independent Campaign
We’re delighted to be part of this campaign, initiated by COES of IPSWICH! William Coe firmly believes in the vital contribution local businesses make, which is why he and his team are backing this campaign to give our local area a boost! It’s great to be involved as part of this – building networks through the wider community. We appreciate COES sharing our pledge here at DJV Boutique… Owner Mandy Errington says… “It is vital that we help to keep the High Street alive. Consumers are contributing to local job creation and allowing small businesses to grow and keep their doors open. It’s not about getting rich quick for small business owners, it’s about vital support and enabling us to trade fairly and successfully.” ? Founded in 2012, DJV is a ladies boutique specialising in unique fashion lines at affordable prices. Mandy believes that “hand-selecting our stock ensures that we continue to offer something different. We’re always exploring fresh ideas and consider ourselves to be more than just retailers.” Mandy said that Ipswich is the perfect place for her business because there are lots of complimentary independent businesses and influential chains making the town a ‘go-to’ destination. She also said that the recent investments made to improve the area are contributing to encouraging more people to shop locally. ? DJV Boutique, Ipswich Promo Advert- Goes Live!
Keeping your brand in the public eye is always key for promoting and creating awareness! We decided to kick-start the production of a series of promotional videos with an exclusive promo advert – to showcase our store (based in Cox Lane in Ipswich) along with our range of fashion, handbags and accessories. We plan to invest in video production on a seasonal basis to advertise DJV’s products and services. We teamed up with local Videographer Luke Tomlinson who is experienced in creating impactful videos for the Retail market and many other sectors, which includes Education. We love to collaborate and utilise our local resources wherever possible. Our regular models were on board, along with a few new additions. Our team at DJV were also featured and created the vision for the Ad. The creative team also directed the 50′ commercial with Luke’s input too. The end result has already received over 1000 views in a matter of days! The ad is available to view across our Social Media platforms and YouTube. The feedback so far has been immense and we’re utterly thrilled with the results! Why not check out the ad for yourself now? Celebrating 7 years at DJV Boutique, Ipswich
During the past 12 months, we’ve been very busy and embraced a number of positive changes. Our move to Ipswich Town Centre in October 2018 has proved to be positive and introduced new customers. There’s no doubt that we’ve seen a distinct change in shopping patterns, with the uncertainty of Brexit and the economic challenges we’re faced within the UK, however as a business we continue to grow steadily and remain popular amongst our regulars. We like to consider ourselves more than just retailers and have introduced new brands (such a FRENCH CONNECTION) and Styling Packages to stimulate trade. We continue to be grateful to our loyal supporters, who contribute to keeping our doors open. When you shop local you’re not only encouraging growth within your local community, you’re making a big difference towards the survival of small businesses. We raise a glass to toast all of you and thank you again for your support over the years! As part of our celebrations, we’re hosting a special open day on the 25th May and a Cocktails and Couture evening on the 27th June! We hope you can join us!

Celebrating Independent Women’s Day!
Today on “International Women’s Day” is extremely poignant to all women across the globe. Closer to home, to represent my local community positively in the public domain is always high on my agenda. Over the years I’ve been approached to feature in numerous publications and magazines and following on from a recent interview with Drapers Magazine – I have appeared in a feature for IWD, written by Emily Sutherland of Drapers. A big thanks to Emily and Drapers for this opportunity. To read the full article visit: https://www.drapersonline.com/ Image copyright: Drapers online.
